Description: The Computer Vision Group at Yahoo Research NYC is looking for an outstanding PhD intern scientist for the Summer 2016.
We are looking for candidates with expertise in Computer Vision and Multimedia, with research experience in the following areas: object / scene / action / event recognition, web-scale image and video understanding, deep learning, language and vision, video summarization, image aesthetics and creativity, etc.
We are located at the heart of Manhattan, New York. The candidate will work with a team of Research Scientists and Engineers tackling real-world problems involving Yahoo's web-scale multimedia data (including Tumblr and Flickr).
The candidate will have a chance to publish at top-tier conferences in Computer Vision and Multimedia.
- Currently enrolled in PhD program with focus on computer vision or related fields.
- Experience with various libraries and platforms in computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning.
- Strong algorithmic problem solving skills, and the ability to implement solutions in C/C++, Python, Java, etc.
