There are a number of people with backgrounds in places like Amazon, Google, NASA, Bell Labs, Dropbox, Intel, IBM, Apple, Goldman Sachs, eBay, Netflix, Berkeley, Harvard, CalTech, Yale, UIUC, USC, Princeton, CMU, INRIA, Stanford etc.
My client is looking for a variety of skill-sets within Computer Vision and Deep Learning, but, some key variables they look for are:
• PhD/MSc in Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Cognitive Neuroscience etc
• A strong publication history (CVPR, NIPS, ICML…)
• Excellent practical knowledge in Deep Learning (CNNs are preferred, but, all other areas are suitable too)
• Good engineering skills
• An interest in solving challenging problems
