Description: Applications are invited for funded full-time Ph.D. and M.Sc.A. positions at the École de technologie supérieure (ETS), University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada. The candidates will work under the supervision of Professors Eric Granger, and in close collaboration with Genetec Inc., a global provider of video surveillance solutions. Positions are available immediately, and financial support is available for the project’s duration (3 years).
Application Instructions: We are looking for highly motivated graduate students to conduct cutting-edge research on adaptive systems that can robustly detect and track multiple persons captured in video sequences for real-time visualisation and person re-identification applications. Prospective applicants should have:
- Strong academic record in computer science, applied mathematics, or electrical engineering, preferably with expertise in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, computer vision, pattern recognition, and visual object tracking;
- A good mathematical background;
- Good programming skills in languages such as C, C#, Python and MATLAB.
