We are passionate about applying deep learning to medical imaging for high-performance preventive medicine, precision medicine and knowledge mining from very large-scale clinical datasets of multiple imaging and non-imaging resources, to facilitate novel and effective clinical workflows, built upon Nvidia’s hardware/software AI platform. After building prototypes that demonstrate the promise of your research, you will collaborate with software engineering team to integrate your work into products.
What you'll be doing:
This position offers you the opportunity to craft deep learning approaches to solving particular medical imaging problems, with the goal of improving and inventing new & effective clinical workflows.
Construct and curate large problem specific datasets.
Design and implement medical imaging, computer vision, machine learning techniques aimed at solving specific problems.
This position requires you to keep up with the latest DL research and collaborate with diverse teams (internal and external to Nvidia), including DL researchers, clinical and research physicians, medical imaging researchers hardware architects, and software engineers.
Generate high quality patents and top tier technical/clinical publications, transfer technology into products.
What we need to see:
You have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant work experience in computer vision, medical imaging, deep learning or statistical learning
Excellent knowledge of understanding and practicing deep learning and medical imaging.
You've produced a track record of research (publication) excellence and/or significant product development. IE 4+ pieces of tier-one publications with substantial deep learning for medical imaging experience.
Excellent rapid prototyping skills with medical imaging applications using Python; C++, Matlab.
Excellent knowledge and development experience of common deep learning frameworks and packages (Caffe, Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc.).
Deep experience in application areas such as medical imaging and computer vision;
Knowledge of medical imaging visualization and processing packages is a plus.
Excellent communications skills.
Prior experience working with physicians to identify (novel) important problems and assessing possible deep learning solutions is a plus.
